Some call me Wya, don't let it confuse you. Just a silly nickname that comes from me not being able to say my name (Ryan) correctly as a child, and my Mom and family and friends continuing to call me that.
Hey great stuff. Is it hard to ink with so many things going on in the drawing? Is inking literally just using ink to go over the sketches by hand? Or is this using a computer and a program to clean everything up? Love all the appearances.
You know I was just thinking about what an awesome job you did of defining the depth of these panels. I would love to see how they look on a Viewmaster.

All these panels that you have been posting look awesome. When Robert gives you the script, does he tell you exactly what everyone is doing, or does he give you creative license to position people how you want them (like that girl grabbing that monster’s tongue)? They’re just great!
I’d love some really honest advice, if you don’t mind.
I’m a graphic designer between jobs. I would love to become an illustrator. However I’m really prone to second guessing my art and never seem to finish any of my personal projects.
I’m thinking of going to the U and get my masters in illustration. But maybe I should just stick to graphic design…
Would you mind looking at my site and tell me your honest opinion?
… I can pay you off in Nielson’s Frozen Yogurt. Mmmmm Rasberry, Hotfudge Topper.
Thanks
eric
PS You’re stuff is looking great. That’s awesome that you’re doing the “Drink and Draw” thing. Keep it up.
Oh man SuperPatriot stomps ass in this picture. Keep up the good work.

All of these panels look great Ryan. I was wondering what Eric thinks of you drawing Dragon so small though
I Kid, I kid…

Ben- Thanks! Yeah he’s kickin some buttocks.
Jay- I ink with a pen and brush pen, no computer needed. I start with foreground characters and work back.
Rigger- Yeah he’s tiny. Seems like he gets bigger the more I draw him though. It usually takes me a bit to warm up to drawing someone new.
ryanamandaanna- Thanks! No Robert let’s me be creative. The script basically says draw Savage dragon and friends fighting monsters.
Ryan your dragon is great. Not that you needed my reassurance
Nice Dragon man… Are you going to be at Comic Con San Diego again this year. I would love for you to add to sketch book again like you did in 2007?
happy to see a SD piece by you, great!
p.s. SD face looks more angry in the pencil.
