Draw night part 1

I’ll be posting sketches I did at this week’s draw night for the next 3 days. We did lots of sketches so I’ll break them up into separate days. This is my first batch of sketches I did, trying to warm up a bit here. I see a lot of girls wear those puffy hats, one was in the coffee shop we were drawing in. Here is another attempt at drawing the silver surfer, but like always it didn’t work out. The arms are all short and dumb looking and I couldn’t get the legs how i wanted. So this brand new character was the result! See you guys tomorrow.

Oh and my favorite silver surfer ever was drawn by John Romita Jr. in Daredevil.
If the Silver Platter had a giant fork that he would wield in glorious battle against his arch nemesis the Blue Plate Special….I would spend a fair $1.95 to read the exploits.

I think we all have certain characters we can’t quite get to look right. For me it’s always been Superman. I’ve never been able to quite nail his look.
