And Draw night pics! So I got tons of stuff for you today. I should really just post one drawing a day so my blog seems more active. Hmmm. Oh well.
I did this Star Wars pic for a my friend’s son who just turned 7. He kept bugging his Dad to have me draw something Star Wars for him, I gave him this for his Birthday.

Git em' Yoda!

And now on to pics I did at Draw night. I was excited to get to draw for myself, the last two draw nights I brought Invincible pages to work on. I’ve been super busy with this schedule we have going, so working at draw night was kinda necessary. Drawing whatever my mind wants to is always a pleasure, so this draw night was extra awesome because it feels like it’s been so long. First up was a monster thingie.

I will eat your SOUL! And your calzone.

Then I moved on to drawing this wierd guy. Alan Tew said it looked like a real life Pacman and suggested I draw him eating oreos, I then let him draw the eye on top and the ghost trailing behind him. Thanks Alan!

nom nom

I then started to draw more monsters and suddenly it turned into a bunny which then turned into a guy wearing the bunny costume and the rest fell into place after that. Carrots aren’t always good for the eyes.
GAH! vitamin b!

Aaand while devouring Sushi I did my last drawing of the night, just a Hulk sketch.

Hulk push...somethin.

Bye.

Ryan

The monster sketch reminds me of one of the bosses from RE4 —> http://www.jvrpg.com/image_dossier/dossier/re4/u3.jpg

I’m loving this stuff Ryan. You’ve got a crazy fun imagination and do such a great job of getting out on the page. I’d actually love to see you do an all ages project. Nothing big, maybe a four issue mini someday. Don’t tell Kirkman I’m suggesting you work on things other than Invincible…

The rabbit costume, it’s like you grabbed out an image of “Where The Wild Things Are” from your subconcious and then made it more awesome by having a carrot fight.

You seem to really like drawing the hulk. You should push yourself into doing an annual or one shot at Marvel.

  13. Xanclavious says:

OMFG. Holy schnit man. I just picked up #55 Ohhhh…the glory of you and Robert. You guys make comics damn cool again. Always knocking everything around with an Allen sized mallet. Can’t wait to see what you guys pop out in the future.

Damn brother you come up with some crazy azz shznit. My fave would have to be between Pac-man and the bunnyman fighters…the 1st pix is a “wtf were you smokin” drawing, cuz that drawing was insane…lol. An jus to let you know since i know the new schedule must be murder, that your drawing’s are looking great. The last issue of Invincible was awesome. i just wonder how you draw a double punch-caving-in-the-side-of-the-head look so cool? Oh and if you need a break, i suggest you rent “Sasquatch gang”, its awesome movie!Stay kickazz homie. Always El Madman.

  16. Shannon says:

Hey, what kind of paper are you using when sketching. It seems to have a strange texture.

  17. Ryan says:

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

Shannon, it’s crappy printer paper, when scanned it looks pretty messy. I should use cleaner paper.

  18. Rigger says:

Wow I thought I was the only one using crappy brand printer paper :D
