Back from San Diego Comicon2010
I always love me some Comicon! I drew sketches non-stop, didn’t get to walk around the con until Sunday morning. So I never really see much of the con anyway but that’s not my main reason of even going there. Main reason #1, meet the fans, do sketches. To me Comicon is like one really long draw night, I hang out with other artists and draw until 2-3 in the morning, wake up early then do it all over again. After the con it takes a day to get back on my feet. It’s total madness.
Thanks to everyone who showed up to my booth! If I drew a sketch for you I’d love to have a scan of it. If it’s a sketch of a character from Invincible it WILL make it into the back of a future Trade Paperback sketchbook section. I did lots of sketches but I only remembered to take a photo of a small amount of them. I’ll post a bunch below!
Also at Comicon I did an interview with Elliot from Comic Culture Warriors, I’m too quiet, and really I’m terrible at these things. I don’t say much especially when there is a camera in front of me, So my answers are short. Anyway, now that I’ve talked the video up so much, enjoy!> CLICK THIS HERE!
Here’s my Comicon sketch parade!

This last one is of a tattoo that a guy got of my “real life” Pacman sketches from my Sketchbook. RAD!
My next con is Baltimore Comicon Aug 28-29 2010. See you there! If you want a sketch like this, come early and get on my sketch list. Later.
Ryan

You’re the best mr ottley
do you take pre-con submissions for nycc?
Wow these are fantastic!
topless nolan? my little science dog? comic fans are MESSED up.
One of those Allens I got for my wife. I wish I would have got a little kid Invincible for my son before your book filled up, he was 9 months that Sunday and his middle name is Grayson after Mark Grayson.
Sketches like these are why you are one of my favorite new artists, Man I really want a commission now, I just have no idea of what though.
Uhm, what is that fine gentleman doing behind/to you in that photo of the Invincible Grrr sketch?
Great art. Loved the Interview video with Elliot from CCW!
What have I told you about saying “a?&” in public? J/K, love you my cute son!
Mom
The Green Lantern Haunt is rad! Glad you enjoyed the con, it was good to see you again. Thanks again for the signed Bear and Shark.
Hope my commission will be up and running soon! great meeting you at the con. great work
LOL that is the cutest little head exploding monster I’ve ever seen. Also I can’t wait to see the photos roll of little dogs in Science Dog costumes. Awesome as ever. Oh and best Zombivincible yet.
Thanks again for the Haunt in green Lantern piece. It goes well with my black lantern Invincible. Hope yonder you next year!
The creativity of some people in requesting certain sketches (Haunt as a GL- WOW!) is astounding. I often forego sketches because I can never think of what to ask for and feel that I may miss out on something cool due to my lack of creativity in that regard. Regardless, awesome sketches, Ryan and it was great getting to meet you in the flesh at SDCC this year!
Magnifique comme d’habitude, quelle puissance et surtout de l’humour.
