Issue 40 started out innocently enough, but very quickly turned into an utter blood-bath! By the mid-point I was left wondering if every hero fighting the Lizard League was going to very soon be pushing up daisies, and by the end I was pretty sure most (if not all) are. You just don’t see that in many mainstream comics, as the big two companies are perpetually scared s-less to kill of their main characters, for fear that the audience will stop buying their books. However, Invincible proves that by being fearless with your characters (and not treating them like precious little darlings), you instead lock the readership into buying future issues- to find out how the story ends if nothing else.

Bravo Ryan for making the ride on Invincible worthwhile each month!

  5. Brad says:

That one of those pages that you draw first simply because it has to be the most fun. It looks brutal.

  6. Brandon says:

Best issue since #33. Great work Ryan.

  7. Brian says:

These last two entries show your pencils being much much looser than they’ve been in previous ‘Pencils to inks’ entries. Amazing how much you tighen it all up.

    Keep up the excellent work.

  8. Love that Spiderman…! Do one issue – just one issue! Is that too much to ask?

  9. Ryan says:

    Thanks everybody!

Hey Neil, you win the best comment award. I agree with all of it.

Brandon- oh you just like violence you psycho.

  10. Marc says:

Sorry a little late, but, geez. Awesome. geez.
