San Diego! and Invincible 48 cover
Well San Diego was so awesome this year. Probably the best year yet. The Image founder panel was a huge highlight for me. Seeing and hearing all the founders just brought me back to when I was a kid and made me remember the excitement that made me draw as much as I did. I heard the panel is even on Youtube. Go watch it, you’ll dig it.
I met TONS of fans this year, my table has never been so busy. Seems like I was non-stop sketching. It’s great to feel appreciated and I definitely felt that from you all. Thanks to everyone who stopped by. If you got a sketch from me I’d love to have a scan of it to put in the back of a new Invincible TPB or post online.
And now……Doc Siesmic and his pets of thee underearth!!!!!!!!! GAH!
Lines by ME, Colors by Val Staples.

This cover was even more impressive in person in it’s inked form.
It was really great meeting you (I was the guy Scott Kurtz sent to say the “Comics? What’s comics? Who’s Deathstroke? Where am I?” bit to you.)
As soon as I scan the sketch you did for me, I’ll send you a link.
It’s great to see covers from Image studios (and especially from you) during the panel of San Diego.
.
I thought we would see more material from you guys, but it seems that big medias of the comicdom, didn’t give you much space in their columns.
To say the truth I’m a little frustrated with this…
Nevertheless, yes it’s a big cover, long life to invincible !!!
We’re closing N° 50 (january ?) and I guess this will be an apocalyptic issue…
Give us some details (if you can
PS : I hope my english is understandable (I’m french)
Lovin’ the colors on the new covers. I hope the new cover with all the Reanimen gets put up soon. Peace!
TOO BAD I MISSED YOU
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE YA AGAIN
NEXT YEAR THEN
Wow, this cover beats the last one with val’s colours.
i’m behind on invincible, way behind
Only started reading it, im on volume 4, need to get 5 6 7 and 8 now
The action in this cover very gripping!!! Gah! I can’t breathe! *faints*
OH NO! CALL 911 AGAIN!
Great cover, man.
Is Monster Girl wearing some kind of Monster Skirt?
ChrisHaley- Hey it was great meeting you too. That’s hilarious Scott told you that story of my comic ignorance.
Roncevaux- Yeah there isn’t much talk other than from fans on this book. Someday the comic media might spread the word a bit. Who knows. Oh and I got no details about 50, other than I have to draw MUCH more pages than usual.
Brian Newland- Yep, very soon.
Comicxguy- Didn’t you see the Image area!?! I was there! Ah well, next time.
Haroon Shariff- yeah, you need to start catching up, like now. Tell your shop Ottley sent you, you’ll get a discount. heh. Not really.
Scribbles- Sorry. I’ll tone it down for the next cover.
Comicxguy…again- No, he was just jokin. If he doesn’t post on the next post then maybe 911 would be a good idea.
IanAstheimer- Yeah, she has ragged material on her ankles, wrinsts, and around her waist. She’s always had it.
Is Doc Seismic supposed to be doing that thing from ‘Friends’ that was a replacement for giving the middle finger?
actually i went by the image booth but you were gone, oh well besides it was damn busy
it was also the second time scribbles “fainted” from last post! i know it was a joke, duh!
What you think I’m serious about calling 911? I was joking also. Keep up, Comikxguy.
Now THAT’S a cover, Ryan! Great stuff!
I so love this colorist on your stuff bro. Even though it’s very vibrant you dont loose the artwork and that’s essential of course. Totally wish i could of been there in San Diego to finally meet up with ya. One day yo!
Thanks Neil!
Kizer! What’s up man?!? Thanks, I’m liking his colors also.
