I always love me some Comicon! I drew sketches non-stop, didn’t get to walk around the con until Sunday morning. So I never really see much of the con anyway but that’s not my main reason of even going there. Main reason #1, meet the fans, do sketches. To me Comicon is like one really long draw night, I hang out with other artists and draw until 2-3 in the morning, wake up early then do it all over again. After the con it takes a day to get back on my feet. It’s total madness.

Thanks to everyone who showed up to my booth! If I drew a sketch for you I’d love to have a scan of it.  If it’s a sketch of a character from Invincible it WILL make it into the back of a future Trade Paperback sketchbook section. I did lots of sketches but I only remembered to take a photo of  a small amount of them.  I’ll post a bunch below!

Also at Comicon I did an interview with Elliot from Comic Culture Warriors, I’m too quiet, and really I’m terrible at these things. I don’t say much especially when there is a camera in front of me, So my answers are short. Anyway, now that I’ve talked the video up so much, enjoy!> CLICK THIS HERE!

Here’s my Comicon sketch parade!

This last one is of a tattoo that a guy got of my “real life” Pacman sketches from my Sketchbook. RAD!

My next con is Baltimore Comicon Aug 28-29 2010. See you there! If you want a sketch like this, come early and get on my sketch list. Later.

I’ll be in my regular spot at Comicon this year at the Image booth. Booth #2729, Just keep an eye out for that Image banner, oh and the HUGE Walking Dead banner, I’ll be right around that. (and if you Twitter than watch for my tweets. I’ll be posting throughout the con.)

I so wish I had enough content to make a new sketchbook this year but with all the work of Invincible and Haunt I really didn’t have much time on the side to do any sketching other than doing pages at our local draw night here for Grizzly Shark. Jason Howard and I will have plenty of Sea Bear and Grizzly Shark available, and it’s much cheaper than a sketchbook.  So there.

I’ll be doing sketches as usual, not sure about pricing yet. Details there at the con.  Also I’ll be selling tons of prints and original art. Splash page art will also be there selling my art, he has most of the Haunt pages if you are interested in those. I’ll have Invincible and Grizzly Shark pages.

See you guys there!

Wanna see a new print that Jason and I will have at the con?

This will be our cover for the new reprint since Sea Bear and Grizzly Shark just sold out. Thanks to FCO Plascencia for them awesome colors!
